OFF THE BEATEN TRACK YOUR SECRET ESCAPE SET IN THE VALLEY OF THE KINGS RIVER
Since 2003 Lawcus Farm Guesthouse has been welcoming guests from all over the world.
Lawcus Farm Guesthouse is named after the
townland Lawcus. We are situated less then 15 minutes drive
from Kilkenny City between the medieval village of Kells
and the Village of Stoneyford on the outskirts of Kilkenny
City.
Lawcus Farm is a tastefully renovated stone farm house on 20 acres. Near enough to the pace of everyday life , yet far enough away to escape the fast lane. The property over the past 22 years has been slowly restored with some new additions inspired by nature , designed & built by Mark & a helping hand along the way using materials from the past & present which offers its guests comfort and tranquility hidden in a small vale on an ancient site on the Kings River.
Less than a stones throw away meandering cut grass paths bring you down to the
Kings River where you may encounter some of her myriad of
wildlife , wild flowers & water life.
Mark is a volunteer with the wildlife authorities , you never know what wildlife awaits you here. We love our animals & wildlife , it's very rewarding when an animals makes a full recovery & is re-released back into the wild.
The village pubs are friendly offering traditional music or a
barbecue in a cosy atmosphere. A working water mill where you can dine in the award winning Kings Mill Restaurant, a pint in The Motte
and Bailey and a stroll around the famous Kells Priory, an Augustinian historical landmark one of Europe's finest & oldest , also Kilree Tower & High Cross all in the medieval village of Kells & in the opposite direction award wining Malzards Pub for the hurling experience & craic & Ceol , earthy Knockdrinna cafe, A salubrious Guinness & a history lesson from Donny in oldy world Ennisnag lounge, free experience at Jerpoint Glass blowing studio & Mt.
